Fuss & O’Neill conducted an asbestos inspection and an indoor air quality (IAQ) assessment at the University of Hartford campus and the Hartford College for Women.

The inspection and assessment involved 28 campus buildings. IAQ was evaluated for carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, temperature, and relative humidity. Limited asbestos sampling was also conducted in the 28 campus buildings, in addition to 15 campus buildings on the Hartford College for Women campus, and one downtown Hartford building.

Sampled materials were categorized and prioritized based on their condition. Further analysis was conducted for materials that were inconclusive. We then developed a spreadsheet that identified location, type, quantity, priority, and estimated abatement cost.
