Brownfields

Fuss & O’Neill is a regional pioneer in brownfields services. We were one of the first firms to integrate environmental services with redevelopment services in the 1970s and we were among the first firms selected to work in New England on Brownfields Demonstration Pilots and Showcase Community projects in the mid-1990s.

Fuss & O’Neill’s forward-thinking approach to brownfield sites integrates the cleanup approach with site re-use plans to create practical, cost-effective solutions that result in successful site redevelopment while satisfying regulatory requirements.

Our in-depth knowledge of brownfield policies and funding programs enables us to obtain quick decisions from regulatory staff, provide funding-leveraging opportunities, and facilitate public-private partnerships. We have a long history of collaboration and innovation both with our redevelopment clients and with the U.S. EPA Brownfields Program.

We have worked throughout EPA Region 1 for numerous municipalities, planning agencies, and councils of governments that have been awarded EPA-funded brownfields grants. Our partnership with U.S. EPA Brownfields Program project managers is a tremendous advantage for our many public grantee clients and has resulted in a track record of successful projects and repeat funding opportunities.
