In recent decades, the homes in the Touisset Point and Touisset Highlands neighborhoods of Warren experienced a significant increase in the rate of conversion from seasonal to full-time use, resulting in growing concerns with individual sewage disposal system (ISDS) performance and impacts to groundwater and drinking water wells.

This increase in intensity of use created increased demands on the existing ISDS, as well as on the individual and community wells serving these neighborhoods. Fuss & O’Neill prepared a comprehensive On-site Wastewater Management Plan to evaluate alternative approaches and to develop a sustainable and affordable wastewater management program.
Our study recommended implementation of an integrated groundwater monitoring program strategy, as well as development of an ISDS operation and maintenance program for homeowners.
