The Nature Conservancy, Weare Parcel Boundary Research

The client requested a survey of a 24-acre parcel of land described in a deed and located in York, ME, the whereabouts of which were unknown.

Extensive research extending back to the mid-1700s and the early origins of the town was required to identify and establish the location of early conveyances out from the original town layout. Record research and a combination of field evidence utilizing GPS, aerial mapping, and ground survey encompassing approximately 400 acres aided in determining the placement of the subject parcel in relationship to the range lots as originally platted.

Ongoing work for the Nature Conservancy consists of various boundary surveys of conservation land throughout southern Maine.
