Superstorm Sandy Clean-up Project

Fuss & O’Neill provided hazardous building material services to assist with the massive revitalization of the Connecticut shoreline after hurricane Sandy.

Unofficially called Superstorm Sandy, the 2012 hurricane affected 24 states, including the entire eastern seaboard where it devastated homes along the Connecticut shoreline. We worked with multiple architects mostly in the Norwalk, East Haven, and Milford communities.

We conducted hazardous building material inspections for the Connecticut Department of Housing to facilitate demolition and renovation projects. Inspections included asbestos, lead, airborne radon, and mold. We also developed abatement specifications and designs, and provided construction administration and project monitoring services. We are still providing hazardous material services for this on-going clean-up project.
