Simsbury Meadows

Fuss & O’Neill provided design and master planning services for downtown Simsbury’s premier recreation amenity: Simsbury Meadows.

Host to the Talcott Mountain Music Festival, Simsbury Meadows bustles with more than 10,000 Hartford Symphony audience members each year. This beautiful facility is perfectly located within the town center and has become a family gathering place for concerts, sports, and fun.

The first three phases of the Simsbury Meadows master plan have been implemented over the past few years, including full-sized soccer fields, a permanent band shell, a large universal boundless playground, parking, streetscape improvements, and connections to the Town’s Farmington River trail system. Our landscape architects also developed construction documents for all constructed phases of this highly successful project.

The Simsbury Meadows facility was planned with the utmost respect and sensitivity to the Farmington River flood plain – a habitat to area wildlife. Simsbury Meadows has proven a catalytic development for the town center, spurring substantial economic activity.
