Path Academy

Fuss & O’Neill provided hazardous building material consulting services for the renovation and redevelopment of a former YMCA building in the village of Willimantic for Path Academy.

Path Academy has a mission to re-engage over-age, under-credited students with an environment in which to turn from current or future high school dropouts to scholars. In order to renovate the building, our team conducted hazardous building material inspections and tested for asbestos, lead, PCBs, mercury, and mold. We developed technical specifications and abatement drawings and provided periodic project monitoring services during abatement activities.

Fuss & O’Neill also developed an asbestos management plan in accordance with the Asbestos-Containing Materials in Schools; Final Rule and Notice (40 CFR 763) as required by the EPA’s Asbestos Hazardous Emergency Response Act (AHERA).
