Richland County hired Fuss & O’Neill to design improvements to the trail system and disc golf course. Solving erosion and sedimentation issues first was key to the system’s long term sustainability.

Fuss & O’Neill held numerous stakeholder meetings to gather information and build consensus with the community. Both the County and School District One are property owners, while the City’s Recreation Department maintains the park for the Rosewood Neighborhood, Disc Golf Club, YMCA Soccer, the Boys & Girls Club use. Benchmark Trails helped us provide entry areas, ADA accessibility, trail surfacing, new bridges, and both wayfinding and interpretive signs. Gills Creek Watershed Association was also involved with administering the EPA 319 grant and field days for pet waste stations, invasives removal, and rain garden workshops.
