Fuss & O’Neill is currently working with New Haven’s Solid Waste and Recycling Authority to develop a master plan for future improvements to the Transfer Station.

The master plan design includes the construction of a canopy for a newly configured residential drop-off area. The canopy structure will provide shelter to New Haven residents dropping off waste and will protect the waste containers from the elements. Fuss & O’Neill is also providing the engineering design services required to accommodate a PV solar system on the roof of the canopy structure.

As part of the master plan, we designed a circulation concept to manage the flow of residents who come to drop off waste and recycling.
