Fuss & O’Neill was retained by the City of Hartford and the Hartford Parking Authority to provide engineering consultation services for several projects at this five-story underground parking garage that also serves as the foundation for the office building constructed above.

As part of the transfer of ownership of the office building, we reviewed building and garage construction plans, previous property maps, and property descriptions; performed field surveys to verify information contained in the plans and descriptions; and developed a procedure to prepare property maps, identifying the areas of the parking garage where easements were required for structural support and activities associated with the building operations. We created new electronic plans, incorporating and modifying the previously defined rights and easement areas and providing new rights and easement areas. We assisted with issues related to various structural repairs and modifications, including repairing a section of standpipe that failed a routing pressure test.

We assisted with the review of proposed structural modifications required for the removal of a generator enclosed behind a concrete block wall.  We developed plans and specifications for the replacement of failed sections of existing membrane waterproofing and elastomeric deck joints.
