Hanson Street Reconstruction

This project involved the reconstruction of 1,100 feet of downtown urban roadway, sidewalks, and streetscape improvements as well as the replacement of existing extremely congested, antiquated, underground utilities.

Fuss & O’Neill was the consultant responsible for public outreach, design, and engineering aspects of the project, and provided construction administration services as well as resident engineering services. The project involved a considerable amount of coordination with businesses, utilities, affected property owners, and City and State officials. Improvements included the reconstruction of roadway and pedestrian amenities, installation of new decorative street lighting, relocation of overhead utilities to underground, and streetscape improvements including trees, decorative sidewalks, benches, banner posts, and crosswalks.
