Fuss & O’Neill provided planning, engineering design, and regulatory permitting services for a 176 KW hydropower development. Situated on the Quinnipiac River, the Hanover Pond Dam is owned by the City of Meriden.

Services provided to our client – the New England Hydropower Development Company (NEHC) – have included structural, hydraulic, geotechnical, and natural resource investigations and design. Fuss & O’Neill designed the improvements to comply with the requirements of the FERC Dam Safety Program.

Additionally, Fuss & O’Neill has participated in meetings involving the City, interested community groups, investors, and regulatory program staff to present the engineering, scientific investigation, and design elements of the project. Fuss & O’Neill provided construction phase inspection services for installation.
