Environmental Awareness Training for DPW Facilities

Surface water bodies serving as drinking water resources must be protected. The watersheds serving these resources often have many activities spread across numerous property owners as well as public rights of way (highways, local roads, etc.)

Fuss & O’Neill provided Pollution Prevention General Awareness Training to various Department of Public Works facilities located in a major drinking water reservoir basin in central RI. The purpose of the training was threefold; to substantiate the importance of clean water runoff, to indicate and identify common sources of pollution, and to present practices to mitigate pollution. Management of a small or large spill/release, regulatory requirements, and good stewardship were presented and discussed.
