Fuss & O’Neill provided engineering services for the investigation and replacement of drinking water production in Well #1 due to pump failure.

Fuss & O’Neill was retained to test and diagnose the issue and suggest corrective actions. Our mechanical and electrical engineers evaluated the existing information and investigated possible utility power, frequency, and harmonic noise levels, as well as motor voltage and current levels under various operating conditions.

We concluded that the pump motor failures were likely due to overheating caused by the continuous operation of the pumps beyond their normal ratings. We prepared a design, cost estimate, and construction plans and specifications for the replacement of the Well #1 pump and pump motor.
