Fuss & O’Neill provided design services and environmental permitting for the installation of an additional data container center for our client.

This project was the second phase of the data center expansion on the existing site that was completed by Fuss & O’Neill in 2013. Our design addressed all aspects of civil, environmental, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering for the multi-million dollar construction of the additional data center. Fuss & O’Neill was responsible for submission of the Request for Determination and the subsequent Release Abatement Measure Plan associated with site construction activities.

The challenging design involved developing an electrical distribution plan with a high-speed transfer switch that would allow for switching between two separate substation feeds. The design needed to address non-interruption of the power supply for the data center. The project was completed under a compressed construction schedule to accommodate demands of the property owner and end user.
