Congress Street Roadway and Parking Improvements

Fuss & O’Neill provided the design, construction administration and resident engineering for the reconstruction of 500 feet of urban roadway and City parking area.

Improvements included the reconstruction of roadway and pedestrian amenities, installation of conduit for future decorative lighting improvements, and streetscape improvements including decorative sidewalks and new granite curb. Superelevation was used to control potential adverse impacts related to drainage. The project involved a considerable amount of coordination with the abutting multifamily property owner, utility companies, and City officials.

Overhead utility relocation to underground as well as the replacement of water main and sewer service connections and drainage pipe and structures redesign was a large part of this project.
