Community Mental Health Center Energy Improvements

Under an on-call state building energy contract, Fuss & O’Neill conducted a study to determine viable energy conservation measures at a community mental health center. We summarized our results in an energy analysis report.

The final design included installation of high efficiency gas-fired boilers, hot water coils, a distribution system to reduce dependence on electric heat, new air conditioning condensing units and coils, an upgraded DDC temperature control system, variable speed drives and premium efficiency motors, as well as installation of occupancy sensors. The new heating system for the nine-floor space will be served via installations on three floors and existing pipe chases.
