Coliseum Site Mixed-use Transit Oriented Development

Fuss & O’Neill worked with the developer, city staff, and local commissions to plan, permit, design, and construct this $400 million project, including redeveloping the property into a dynamic mixed-use transit-oriented development (TOD) district that will transform it into an exciting new neighborhood, including residential, retail, public space, hotel and below grade parking.

This project is a public-private-partnership among a private developer, the City, and the State of Connecticut, and required complex coordination in planning, design, permitting, and construction of $50 million of infrastructure improvements on the roads surrounding the development on four sides. This large development will provide residential and employment opportunities, and be a driver of economic development within the region.
