Fuss & O’Neill was contracted to provide traffic engineering services in support of a 72-unit townhome development on Wyllys Street in Hartford.

In order to prepare a Traffic Impact Study for the proposed site, we first performed an existing traffic condition assessment at peak hours. We conducted traffic counts and turning movement counts to determine the existing traffic volumes at major intersections. Our analyses were compiled and recommendations were provided in accordance with City and Office of the State Traffic Administration (OSTA) traffic impact study requirements.

As the project area exceeds 100,000 square feet of development, we prepared a submittal to OSTA for Administrative Decision review. We responded to comments from the City and OSTA as required.

This development has received numerous awards and recognition for its rejuvenating impact on the Coltsville neighborhood.

We reviewed the latest three years of accident data for the study area intersections and roadways abutting the site to determine existing accident patterns.
