Air Permitting – Renewable Biomass Boiler

Fuss & O’Neill reviewed the environmental permitting and compliance obligations for this renewable biomass (wood chip) boiler project at a large commercial greenhouse in central Connecticut.

Our analysis concluded that the facility could be exempted from air permitting requirements, allowing it to move forward. As an outcome, this facility can now use a fuel that will result in very significant reductions in energy costs over fossil fuels, while also reducing greenhouse emissions and providing renewable energy.
