Fuss & O’Neill provided survey services for the 10-mile Eversource 381 line, which is located at the southwest corner of the state from the Connecticut River opposite the Vermont Yankee power plant through Hinsdale, Ashuelot, Winchester, and ending just over the state line into Northfield, Massachusetts.

This two-phased project was located in rugged terrain, which required the survey teams to navigate deeply sloped ravines, wetlands, dense vegetation, and rocky terrain.

Phase 1 involved flagging of a 3-mile, 350-foot wide, east-west segment on a parcel of land with slope ravines having 1:2± slopes. Phase 2, which was completed ahead of a compressed schedule, involved flagging a 7-mile, 270-foot wide, north-south segment starting at the end of the 3-mile segment and continued to just over the NH/MA state line.
