Dean was originally drawn to the field of civil engineering because he enjoyed math and science in high school, and wanted to design things that improved the community and how people live.

Dean leads a team of engineers, scientists, and planners to solve a wide range of infrastructure challenges to improve both the built and natural environments. Having worked on virtually every type of project that the team completes, Dean enjoys developing new approaches that bring added value to clients. He is well-suited for projects that are especially challenging due to a complex project location, such as a dense urban area. He also loves the task of incorporating many different disciplines into a single solution.

In his current role, Dean takes the initiative to complete projects in an efficient manner, helping his team to create a lasting positive impact on the communities in which they work.
