With almost 35 years of experience in environmental sciences and engineering, David Formato has spent the majority of his career specializing in the design and permitting of municipal and private decentralized wastewater treatment and disposal systems of all sizes, types, and classifications. Through our Water and Wastewater Team, David partners with a wide array of municipal and private clients, offering evaluations, expert witness testimony, permitting, and design services for both large-scale and Innovative and Alternative (I/A) septic systems, decentralized treatment facilities with subsurface effluent dispersal and centralized municipal treatment plant expansions and upgrades. He is recognized as an industry expert in the wastewater field, having published several articles about decentralized treatment and subsurface dispersal, while also serving as a technical expert in both wastewater design standards and state regulation updates that have occurred throughout New England. David’s passion for sustainable wastewater management and environmental compliance drives his unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.
