We design to provide better energy efficiency, nutrient removal, and expand capacity customized to our clients’ specific monitoring and control requirements. We often assess emergency power systems and recommend upgrades and additional power sources to ensure resiliency, reliability, and redundancy of service in case of an outage. Additional power sources and backups help protect WWTP critical infrastructure as well as the environment when unexpected outages occur.
Fuss & O’Neill develops comprehensive asset management programs for wastewater treatment plants. For new plants, we evaluate equipment at an early stage when most of the life cycle costs are determined. For existing plants or plant upgrades, we identify appropriate methods for preventive and/or predictive maintenance. We look at all aspects of plant operations, identifying opportunities to implement best practices and proactive solutions. We develop procedures to plan and schedule maintenance in a manner that optimizes labor resources, parts, and tools. We train employees to run these programs and teach them how to identify further prospects for efficiency. We implement Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to streamline labor and materials. We work with municipalities and private companies to better serve their operations so that they can better serve their communities.
