Virgil Lloyd, PE Wins Prestigious Alfred E. Peloquin Award

Virgil Lloyd, PE, a Senior Vice President at Fuss & O’Neill, is the recipient of the prestigious Alfred E. Peloquin Award. The Alfred E. Peloquin Award is an annual award given by the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) to honor individuals who have demonstrated a high level of interest and performance in wastewater operations in each of the six New England states, and who has made a significant contribution to the wastewater field.

Virgil has more than 40 years of wastewater systems engineering, the last 19 years of which have been with Fuss & O’Neill. He has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s Water & Natural Resources Business Line, as well as being an Officer of the company, guiding company culture and processes. Virgil has helped his clients achieve millions of dollars of funding for quality of life and economic development projects in New England. He serves as a mentor to junior staff and manages many of the firm’s large water improvement projects.

Virgil has been a member of NEWEA since 1985, and has served the organization in numerous capacities, including his current role as President Elect. NEWEA is a volunteer organization that has made it their mission to advance knowledge and innovation to promote water quality in New England’s water environment. Virgil was humbled by this award, saying: “Past recipients of this award include some remarkable people who have made valuable and enduring contributions to our clean water environment. I am truly honored to receive this award.”
