Orange Rec Commission presents Wolfe Park masterplan

The Orange Park and Recreation Commission has been requested by the Board of Selectmen to hold another public session regarding the completed Fred Wolfe Park Design Study and Master Plan.

The session will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. in the meeting room at Orange Town Hall, Orange Center Road. The regularly scheduled monthly Park and Recreation Commission meeting will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Jeff Olszewski, a senior landscape architect with Fuss and O’Neill, Inc., the firm which completed the study, will be presenting the Master Plan. A hearing on the master plan was held a year ago, but poorly attended. Since then, Selectmen have heard from the neighborhood, especially residents of Hollow Road, complaining about traffic to and from the park when there are athletic events.
