Fuss & O’Neill Hires New Associate

Fuss & O’Neill has hired Todd Berman as an Associate and Senior Project Manager in its Water Environment & Natural Resources Department. Todd joins the firm after 23 years as a Senior Environmental Analyst at a nationally-recognized, Connecticut-based law firm. Todd will be working directly with clients to integrate climate resiliency and adaptation planning into projects throughout New England.

This career change allows Todd to draw from the engineering, scientific, and planning resources at Fuss & O’Neill in support of client needs. His past work was dedicated to compliance and risk management across multiple environmental regulatory, permitting, and reporting programs. Now with a broader array of disciplines to draw from, he is excited to make a difference in a more direct way: “Climate change may very well become the greatest test of human ecology our species has ever faced. Not just in terms of mitigating future damages, but adapting our society to the changing realities. I am proud to be on the front lines of this challenge, and the engineering and science skills within Fuss & O’Neill give me great potential for high-value assistance.”

Todd will report to Dean Audet, PE, who leads the firm’s corporate water resources practice. “I’m excited to welcome Todd to the group. His science and regulatory background, combined with his passion to finding solutions to climate change challenges, brings an important perspective to our work. Todd’s viewpoint will help us to better serve our clients.”

Fuss & O’Neill’s experience with climate change impacts have ranged from improving flood resiliency to improving energy resiliency to developing more comprehensive plans for communities. These projects have included the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed Flood Resiliency Plan and the Pocasset River Watershed Flood Resiliency Plan.
