Brian Opp Hired as Senior Project Manager at Fuss & O’Neill

Fuss & O’Neill has hired Brian Opp, PE, as a Senior Project Manager in our Water and Natural Resources Business Line based out of Trumbull, CT. Brian joins the firm after 18 years of experience in geotechnical and civil engineering for a wide range of heavy construction and commercial projects. His project experience includes design and construction of high and low-rise buildings with deep and shallow foundations, highways, railroads and bridges, oil and gas production, storage and transmission facilities, solar power facilities, and communications towers. Brian’s role at Fuss & O’Neill will include managing a diverse range of projects that include planning subsurface investigations, evaluating soil, rock and groundwater conditions, providing foundation design criteria and recommendations for earthwork construction, and preparing reports and technical specifications, as well as focusing on growing the firm’s geotechnical practice. At Fuss & O’Neill, he is excited to work on a variety of types of projects: “Whether the project is civil, structural or environmental in nature, geotechnical engineering often plays a role in the majority of the types of projects we work on at Fuss & O’Neill. I’m looking forward to working on projects of all kinds with our talented group of engineers and designers.”

Brian will report to Caleb Scheetz, LEP, who manages the firm’s Trumbull, CT office. “Brian is a seasoned engineer who is a great addition to our team. His extensive background as a geotechnical engineer, and his outstanding project management skills, puts him in a position to develop and implement project solutions that help our clients achieve their project goals within their budget and schedule requirements.”

Brian holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of New Haven, and a BS in Environmental Resource Management from Pennsylvania State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in five states throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic.
