Fuss & O’Neill assisted the Belmont Municipal Light Department with permitting, design, and construction of a new 115 kV to 13.8 kV stepdown substation and a 115 kV looped transmission line interconnection with the regional utility.

Fuss & O’Neill provided assessment, remedial planning, and support services at the site, from pre-acquisition due diligence through demolition. We assisted with site preparation and preparation of a Permanent Solution Statement. Services also included building materials assessment, demolition monitoring, geotechnical due diligence and environmental assessment, LSP services, and construction support planning on one mile of the MBTA rail corridor between Alewife (Cambridge) and the Belmont line. We coordinated and executed subsurface explorations within the MBTA corridor to facilitate understanding of soil conditions and to develop a soil management plan.
