Fuss & O’Neill provided hazardous building material consulting services to facilitate the Modernization Project of the Washington Elms Housing Development in Cambridge.
We conducted a hazardous building material inspection for asbestos and lead. We conducted bulk and air sampling for asbestos-containing materials, and utilized x-ray fluorescence direct read instrumentation to determine the presence of lead. In addition, we provided radon gas sampling and analysis.
We developed technical abatement design specifications for the removal of identified building materials. We also developed design specifications for the installation of a radon mitigation system at the development. Fuss & O’Neill provided construction administration and project monitoring services during abatement activities.
