Vermont Bridge Deck Replacements

Fuss & O’Neill provided the engineering and construction administration services for the membrane replacement and other rehabilitations to 55 bridges throughout Vermont.

These projects involved field inspections to determine rehabilitation and maintenance options and quantities. The bridges were not structurally deficient, but minor rehabilitations were performed to extend the structure life and reduce the need for future more extensive repairs. The work consisted of membrane replacement, concrete deck repairs, plug joint replacements, the addition of sawed pavement joints at fixed ends and at the ends of at-grade approach slabs, substructure repairs, substructure waterproofing, and bridge rail and approach rail repairs. We also developed work zone traffic control plans for these projects.
