Knitting Mills Apartment Redevelopment

Fuss & O’Neill was retained by Liberty Affordable Housing, Inc. to provide environmental consulting and Licensed Site Professional (LSP) services related to the redevelopment the circa 1877 former textile mill known as the Fall River Knitting Mill, to transform this property into affordable, age-restricted housing units and a 5,000-square-foot senior center on the 3.17-acre parcel.

Fuss & O’Neill provided Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments to understand the site history and environmental conditions, as well as cleanup planning. We conducted hazardous building materials testing, abatement planning, and oversight. Fuss & O’Neill negotiated directly with MassDEP and financing partners to ensure that environmental conditions were understood and that long-term risks were satisfactorily mitigated.
