City-Wide Traffic Management Plan

Fuss & O’Neill worked as part of the design team that assisted the city of Norwalk, in developing a city-wide transportation planning blueprint.

The blueprint included new traffic impact study guidelines, access management guidelines, an online traffic calming toolbox, and new roadway design standards. We developed project identification and need forms for prioritizing infrastructure projects.

Our team conducted extensive public outreach to include businesses and residents in the decision-making process, culminating in the identification of demonstration corridors and intersections.

The design team brainstormed concepts for these locations using the new design guidelines. The potential projects were ranked using the project identification and need forms to aid in future funding and implementation decisions.

Our collaborative effort provided the Town with design concepts and tools to help meet their long-term transportation goals.
