Chamberlain Heights Housing Complex

Fuss & O’Neill conducted a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment to evaluate environmental concerns for the Upper and Lower Chamberlain Heights housing complex. The assessment is part of the development’s selective demolition and renovation of the buildings.

We performed a hazardous materials inspection for the 34 units in Upper Chamberlain Heights and the 88 units in Lower Chamberlain Heights to characterize the asbestos, lead paint, PCBs, and mercury-containing devices in the buildings.

After the inspections, two representative units were selectively demolished and renovated. This Pilot Study allowed the team to develop a definitive scope of services needed to complete the demolition and asbestos abatement in each building.

The services we provided eliminated all asbestos-containing materials from the complex and allowed our clients to budget more effectively for their modernization plan.
