Local business Fuss & O’Neill is helping Manchester residents in need and is encouraging others to join in.

The engineering firm has partnered with the town of Manchester’s Senior, Adult and Family Services to collect donations for local families. Fuss & O’Neill has collected donations from employees and is now asking neighbors to take part.

“Our family here at Fuss & O’Neill is thrilled to be taking part in this again this year,” President and CEO of Fuss & O’Neill Peter Grose, said. “Anything that we can do to help families in need, we will do. This is our community and we want to help those who are struggling. We encourage the public to donate what they can too,” Grose said.

Families who will benefit include those who are dealing with an unexpected death of a family member, experiencing a job loss, or suffering from an illness.

This marks the 20th year that the firm has reach out to the community during the holiday season.

The firm recently had a collection for Toys for Tots at its annual holiday party and gives back throughout the year, Grose said.

Fuss & O’ Neill donate and sponsor other organizations including Manchester Community College, the Manchester Road Race, Imagine Main Street, and the Little Theater of Manchester.

The business also partnered with Connecticut River Watershed Council’s Source to Sea Clean Up, where employees helped to clean trash along the Connecticut River.

“We always try to support the communities in which we serve,” Grose added. “We want to help people who don’t have as much which is one of the ways we support the Manchester community.”

Donations can be in the form of cash or retail or grocery store gift cards.
