Oakwood Soccer Complex

Fuss and O’Neill was contracted to assist in the development of an academy tournament quality outdoor soccer complex for the Oakwood Soccer Club.

The site was an abandoned gravel pit that had numerous prior DEEP violations with regard to stormwater runoff and concerns about a nearby public water well. Our team developed a mitigation plan that incorporated two full-size soccer fields, parking, training facilities, and
future expansion for two additional fields and clubhouse.  Stormwater management for the complex was designed to utilize a self-contained retention pond located on the property. Pervious surfacing was used wherever possible to reduce runoff and use of artificial turf removed the threat of contamination of the well by use of fertilizers and pesticides that would have been needed to sustain natural grass at the complex.
