Hurricane Sandy Funded Flood Resiliency Program

Fuss & O’Neill completed the design and permitting and supported the construction of a number of projects funded by the federal government as part of the appropriations made for Hurricane Sandy. The purpose of these projects were to improve flood resiliency for shoreline communities and infrastructure in Connecticut and Rhode Island. The map below summarizes these projects.

These projects were often fast-tracked in order to readily implement the projects within federal timelines. This included securing Army Corps of Engineers and State coastal permitting to meet these aggressive project schedules.
