Fuss & O’Neill EnviroScience was retained by Stratford Capital Group to perform a hazardous materials assessment for the former Alice B. Fulton School, a Weymouth, MA landmark. The building’s planned renovation included demolition of a portion of the structure and construction of a new addition.
EnviroScience conducted an initial Phase I site assessment and hazardous materials assessment of the existing building. We developed technical specifications for the removal of asbestos, lead paint abatement, radon mitigation and tank removal, in addition to providing construction administration and monitoring services.
Our services played a key role in the historic restoration and renovation of the former school into new, affordable, age-restricted apartment homes for adults. EnviroScience provided services for the Brown School renovations in Peabody, MA, and is currently assisting Stratford Capital Group with similar school conversion projects in Athol, Bridgewater, and South Yarmouth, MA.
