Fuss and O’Neill, Inc. has moved progressively toward the integration of planning and design into its practice. This evolution was born out of a corporate emphasis on providing multi-disciplinary services to existing clients and has led us to ever more complex projects, most typically in urban places. We advocate on behalf of smart growth and urban development practices to the benefit of the greater public good.
Our Landscape Architect and Planning department, led by Chris Ferrero and Tom Tavella, integrates planning and landscape architectural services across our diverse disciplines and represents an exciting paradigm shift for Fuss & O’Neill. We provide planning, landscape architecture and urban design in ways that provide a diverse palette of visualization tools for communication and public outreach. We provide these services for profit and non-profit developers, government agencies, and allied design professionals. We possess a unique blend of formal and practical experience in landscape architecture, planning, real-estate development, transportation and site planning and design.
Partnering for Meaningful Projects
The collective abilities of this group integrated with the diverse offerings of Fuss & O’Neill, serves the transportation, land development and community enhancement projects of the future in a targeted fashion. We partner with communities and regional representatives (county government, MPO’s, etc.) in order to set the proper framework within the public realm to plan and attract the right sort of economic development for a given community or region. We are involved on both sides of the public right of way line by initiating public policy/planning efforts and partnering with appropriate agency regulators, consulting, and development teams to identify meaningful projects on behalf of our clients.
Artistry & Implementation
We integrate creative artistry with the sciences of implementation and begin with the need for the project to fit in the place and serve the community first, in an enduring fashion. We advocate for sustainable policies in our designs and we are evident and outspoken in our professional mission to work on projects that serve the greater good. Our work focuses on master planning, permitting, design and implementation of projects to remake urban places, and the public realm that connects and enhances these properties. We have the creativity to imagine the solution, and the know-how to get it done.
