Water and Wastewater

The Water and Wastewater business unit provides expertise to public and private clients by assisting them in solving their challenging infrastructure needs. We provide planning, design and construction engineering services in the fields of water supply, treatment and distribution, and wastewater collection and treatment. Our philosophy is to exceed the expectations of our clients by providing them with increased value through the efforts of our project team and leadership.

Water is one of our most precious resources.  Intelligent stewardship of our drinking water supplies, and responsible management of our wastewater and stormwater is critical to the quality of life of not just our generation, but for future generations as well.

Meeting the water and wastewater needs of a community, new development or industry represents a substantial investment and requires vision to meet the present and future challenges. In most cases this investment is expected to have a service life measured in decades. We provide experience and leadership to our clients, but we also listen. This allows us to understand the overall vision and goals of our clients, and to develop solutions that will provide the long-term benefit that is necessary for their project to be a success.

The energy demands of water and wastewater components represent a
significant portion of the operation and maintenance budget.  Energy
costs can be as high as one-third of the total operation and
maintenance budget. Our professionals are in the forefront of applying
solutions that considerthe long-term energy consumption implications
of a new facility (or facility upgrade), and have developed many
innovative and sustainable energy solutions utilizing cogeneration or
other technologies to minimize the overall energy demand and
carbon footprint.

operators of water and wastewater systems. Our team consists of
experienced experts in water treatment, water storage, water distribution
systems, wastewater treatment and wastewater collection systems.
