The Water Resources & Solid Waste Business Unit includes several disciplines that are focused on assessing, restoring and protecting environmental resources. Our strength is using multi-disciplinary teams that are assembled to develop innovative solutions for virtually any problem. Our team includes engineers, scientists and planners that provide expertise with hydrology, hydraulics, geomorphology, water chemistry, ecology, and biology.
The technical disciplines that we provide include:
Water Resources: We provide a wide range of services that solve habitat, water quality, hydraulic structure and drainage/flood control problems. We have been incorporating sustainable design practices for the last twenty years, including the design of one of the first sustainable sites in New England. Since then we have incorporated sustainable design elements as a core feature of our water resources projects.
Solid Waste: We have been helping our clients with the siting, permitting, design and construction of solid waste facilities for the last 30 years. We provide a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and engineering issues that allow the value of projects to be maximized and minimize regulatory risks.
Environmental Impact Assessment: We provide federal and state Environmental Policy Act compliance, including environmental impact analysis, alternatives development, mitigation planning, public outreach and facilitation, cumulative impact analysis, agency coordination and facilitation, and supporting studies. Our multi-disciplined team allows us to assemble a range of experts that are fluent with any of the technical issues that may arise during these projects.
