Fuss & O’Neill's Development Services Group offers an integration of design specialties that is often needed to navigate today’s complex regulatory world. Our depth of experience allows us to understand the vision and goals associated with each project, identify potential challenges, and develop appropriate and innovative solutions.
Clients often come to us when confused by the regulatory processes, overwhelmed by complex multidisciplinary projects, or need customized approaches to meet technical, schedule or budget pressures. We combine our talents with other Fuss & O’Neill team members and create an assembly of specialized services include adaptive reuse of contaminated sites, solutions to complex stormwater treatment problems, and sustainable, environmentally compatible designs.
Our clients also turn to us when they need someone to trust as a technical advisor and to advocate for their projects. We are honest about both project opportunities and constraints so that the client can make a decisions can be made with all the facts. Our team includes experts in sustainability, traditional neighborhood design, new urbanism, transit oriented design, and brownfield redevelopment. We can integrate our expertise with other disciplines from the Fuss & O’Neill team or collaborate with client's pre-selected firms.

Mr. Schwendy is Vice President of our Development Services business unit and is also a member of our Sustainability Coordination Committee. Throughout his career, he has completed a wide range of civil and environmental engineering projects, working with a wide range of technical disciplines. His diverse background includes Urban Design, Land Use Planning, Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, Hydrologic Engineering, Utility Engineering, Facility Design, Forensic Engineering, Engineering Economics, Roadway and Pavement Design, Community Planning, Feasibility Studies, Campus Master Planning, and Construction Management.
